JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary / Objective
The Director of Sales & Marketing provides strategic leadership and direction for all core business functions at Belco Forest Products, including sales, marketing, and business development. This role drives revenue growth, strengthens customer relationships, and shapes the market strategy to align with the company’s long-term vision. The Director leads a cross-functional team to deliver measurable results in brand awareness, market share, and customer satisfaction.

- Lead the development and execution of Belco’s sales and marketing strategies to drive sustainable growth and brand leadership in the forest products industry.
- Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to set strategic direction, establish measurable goals, and identify emerging market opportunities.
- Oversee brand positioning, messaging, and marketing communications to ensure alignment with Belco’s vision and differentiation in the marketplace.
- Champion cross-functional collaboration between operations, finance, and product teams to deliver value to customers and achieve company objectives.
- Analyze performance metrics, budgets, and forecasts to inform strategy and resource allocation.
- Develop, coach, and mentor the Sales & Marketing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain and grow relationships with key customers and partners to enhance market presence and customer loyalty.
Education and Experience
- Undergraduate degree in Business Management or other relevant field of study required; Graduate degree in Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in sales and marketing, preferably within the forest products, building materials, or construction supply industry.
- 15+ years total Sales & Marketing experience required.
- Outstanding knowledge and understanding of the forest products industry.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills required.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence – ability to motivate and manage staff.
- Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Significant experience working with external auditors, internal controls, and compliance.
- Proven track record of developing and executing growth strategies and leading high-performing teams.

Supervisory and Management Responsibility
- This position manages the Sales & Marketing team, which is comprised of regional Market Development Managers.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in an office with a collection of administrative and business professionals. This position works in a private office for privacy with its own computer workstation, laptop, desk, and mobile telephones.
Director of Sales & Marketing typically works in a quiet environment. The environment may be highly stressful when pending business deadlines and requirements must be met.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time salaried position. This position may require long hours to meet business requirements. Schedule may consist of nights, overtime, weekend, and holiday work; schedule flexibility is required.
Salary starts at $150,000.
Travel
This position requires travel in order to meet business requirements.
