Lennar sets the goal, Belco steps up

Each holiday season, volunteers with the Heartbeat Serving Wounded Warriors program create beautiful, handmade holiday stockings which are filled with thoughtful gifts and treats. These stockings are delivered to wounded warriors across the region. This year, the program set a goal of 625 stockings to be created, filled and delivered this Christmas. Lennar Seattle took on the task of filling 125 of those stockings.

Jason McVay, purchasing agent for Lennar, was instrumental in getting Belco Forest Products added to the list of participating donors. Belco was able to help out with thermal socks, playing cards and Walmart gift cards.

“Lennar does so much goodwill throughout the year, it was an honor to be part of their holiday stocking program,” said Baxter Reimer, Market Development Manager for Washington state. Over the last two years Lennar has committed to Belco’s ArmorCoat XT treated trim program as a standard in their Everything’s Included home package. Delivering value is central to both firms mission.

Belco employees are not new to the HeartBeat Serving Wounded Warriors program. Inside Sales Manager, Julie Rowan has been adopting a soldier family for the past four years, delivering a ‘wish list’ of toys and gifts for Christmas.
“It’s very rewarding program, one that I highly recommend to anyone looking to spread a little joy this season,” she added.

Happy Thanksgiving from your friends at Belco!
