By applying the first three ingredients of the Platinum Protection Package directly to the wood fiber, via spray coat and separate from the primer, greatly enhances their efficacy. Unlike competitors who mix similar ingredients directly into their primer, thereby only protecting the primed surface, Belco adds these ingredients directly to the fiber, allowing the diffusion mechanism (Borate) to fully penetrate into the lumber and carry the other protective ingredients along for the ride.

Protection From the Inside Out

As an example, if mold spores are present prior to the primer being applied, even if there is borate mixed into the primer, mold will still grow through. However, with the Platinum Protection Package, the borate and other ingredients penetrate the wood fiber, protecting from the inside out.
