In a mold control study conducted by Arch Wood Protection on Florida's Gulf Coast, FrameGuard coated samples and uncoated controls, in two species, were exposed to the elements in an area characterized by high temperatures, rainfall and humidity. View the test results for more information.

Multiple Applications

FrameGuard® mold-resistant wood prevents mold problems as well as damage from termites and fungal decay in trusses, framing, OSB, wood I-beams, SIPs, and other wood products used in interior applications.

Termite and Fungal Decay Protection

FrameGuard® is a blend of anti-mold and borate chemicals that has been shown to offer effective protection against termites and fungal decay.  This combination keeps lumber looking cleaner and brighter during storage and construction, thus precluding dissatisfaction and exchanges.

Many homeowners have found that, against some termites, standard soil treatment alone is an inadequate defense. Some insects and decay fungi thrive above ground and are unaffected by such chemical barriers.
